How to use these resources

Our resources are designed to engage students in hands-on, fun activities that build literacy in AI, data science, and scientific research. Through a diverse array of activities, students gain familiarity with key concepts, setting them up for deeper exploration. Each activity empowers students to question, experiment, and discover, fostering a strong base for more advanced learning in science & AI. We’ve categorized this section into four sections and suggest you start with “laying the foundation.”

AI in Society

We link ML techniques to science and societal implications across our curriculum. These activities allow students the opportunity to think about the impact of AI on their lives and communities while engaging with issues of fairness, justice, and equity.

When to use ML?

ML is just one computational approach among many. And when to use ML methods (and which one to use) depends on technical considerations as well as ethical. These activities help students navigate this decision making process
